Natural Tallow Balm Skin Care- It's Healing

Updated: Nov 6

We have a small calf at the farm that injured itself or has a skin issue, we aren't sure what has happened. The calf lost a large protion of the hair on it's back and there were open sores. It is hot, and the flies were swarming and laying on it's open ,sore back. We brought the calf and the mom into a stall in the barn so we could treat it--but what with?- it was such a large affected area.

Brown Cow Soap Co. Natural Tallow Balm has great benefits for human skin. It is natural, and is a whole body balm- lips, face, hands, feet, anywhere there is irritation-soothing for sunburn, and used on my grandchildren's exzema. The make up of tallow is very similar to the make up of our skin and has an abundant natural fatty acids that are found naturally in our skin's outer layer, plus it is rich in vitamin A,D,E, and K, and has powerful antioxidents----could it also help heal this calf's large injured area???

large wound on calf's back

Day 1- We applied an antiseptic spray-to cover the wound and keep the flies away

Day 2- we started to apply homemade skin care product-NATURAL TALLOW BALM to the area. The calf was shy and had to be caught and held, in order to attend the wound. When we started to apply the tallow balm, it was obvious that it felt good to have the tallow balm applied. It stood still, and appeared to like it.

Day 3 - the area was already much improved using tallow for skin care

Day 10- significant healing of the open sore

Using Natural Tallow Balm- There was a difference in 1 day and significant difference in the healing of the wound in 3 days. By day 4 the hair was beginning to grow back. We are very pleased with the results.

Happy Calf!!
